Your Decisions

So how can you influencethe activity of your IT department to please all of your stakeholders? Well, obviously, you won't be able to satisfy all parties at the same time. But by taking the right decisions you will be able to reorganize your IT department and to please (most of) your stakeholders.

Launch New Projects

Checkout the Project Launch page. You have the choice to launch IT-projects in all company departments and to develop your IT infrastructure

Project Management

You have to follow-up on the progress of several concurrent projects. To influence the performance, you can priorize projects, change resource assignations and hire new employees. Check the Project Assignments page for details.

Hire and Fire Employees

Less pleasant, but sometimes necessary: You can modify the status of all IT staff in the Staff Details page and check for new CVs at the Recruitment Page.

Defining culture and setting policies

The performance of your department not only depends on a reasonable project management, but also on the a number of written and unwritten rules jointly know as "corporate culture". You can define the culture of your department within certain limits in the Culture & Policy page.

Incidents & Emergencies

You can define the attention that is being payed on your operative systems by setting the incident resultion priority in the Project Assignments page. Priority "1" will allocate 100% of all assigned resources to this particular incident, to keep the incident resolution time as small as possible. Priority "2" will allocate resources so that the project is resolved the same day, while priority "3" and lower will allow people to pursue other activities aside of the incidents.
